Important information about Office 365
Student emails have moved to the new Outlook system on Office 365. You can access Office 365 through myDMU by clicking on the tab at the top.
Returning students’ email accounts are now firstname.lastname@example.org. You should sync your new Outlook account to mobile devices to receive emails on the go.
Students joining in September are automatically set up on Outlook through Office 365 so no further action is required.
You can sign in to your new email account here or through myDMU. You can still access your old DMU Gmail by scrolling to the bottom of your myDMU page. However, your old Gmail account should only be used to migrate information over to your new Outlook account as it will be closing shortly.
Please note if you continue to use Gmail rather than Outlook you will miss out on important messages from the university.
Office 365 is more flexible to use and offers lots of benefits to our students, including:
- Free access to Word, Powerpoint and OneNote
- A huge 1TB of online storage
- The opportunity to collaborate and share university work
