De Montfort University Education Studies and Psychology
Education Studies with Psychology BA (Hons) is a distinctive degree from the single honours course in that it makes connections between education, learning and the domains of social, biological, cognitive, developmental and personality psychology. You will examine how childhood is understood and shaped by society, how a modern child’s lifestyle and experiences differ from those of the past, and how educationalists and psychologists theorise personal, social, emotional and intellectual development. Benefit from strong links with the local community and we provide the opportunity to apply your learning in work placements and volunteering schemes. You will also have the opportunity for a meaningful international experience as part of your studies through #DMUglobal. 98 per cent of all Health and Life Sciences graduates are in employment or further study within six months of completing their course (DHLE 2013/2014).
