All of our resources are listed on the Locate library catalogue. Locate allows you to search for books, eBooks, journal articles and databases. By logging into your account you can also renew any items you have on loan and reserve items that are on loan to other readers.

Academic Writing Service

The Academic Writing Service aims to contribute to students across CUC fulfilling their potential as learners, by enabling them to successfully write and study independently whilst at university. This will be achieved through advising and guiding students on the important aspects of academic writing and skills, such as planning and structuring essays and reports, improving critical thinking and avoiding plagiarism by referencing correctly.

Students can access the Academic Writing Service via open access drop-in sessions, bookable one-to-ones and Moodle, whilst we will have some sessions in subject tutorials, and even occasional workshops. To book a one-to-one or find out when a drop-in session is scheduled, students can contact the Customer Service Desk or email the service direct on: learningservices@cuc.coventry.ac.uk.

About the library

The Lanchester library sits just off Gosford Street between the William Morris and Engineering and Computing buildings. It’s five floors of all the resources and aid you could need to make the best of every assignment, seminar or lecture you need to take on.

The library has undergone some major work over the last few years, as plans to redevelop each floor of this colossal building were undertaken. Apart from many aesthetical changes to brighten things up, the shelving layouts were reconfigured, redesigned service points were created for reception, as well as the IT Service Desk and E-learing Unit. The final stage of refurbishments will be completed in summer 2017, and we can’t wait for you to see them.

For more information about the library please visit our About Us section.
