Club Values

We take pride in our training at Coventry; we are a mixed ability club with a range of experience from white to black belt, competition veterans to competition newbie’s and most importantly we are a mixed style club (Wado-Ryu, Shotokan, Shito-Ryu and Goju-Ryu).

 

Levels of Competition

Every year we get to represent Coventry University at the BUCS Championships and every year we have returned home with Bronze, Silver and Gold Medals. There are a variety of categories for each level of experience and gender these include: Kumite, Kata, Team Kumite and Team Kata.

Aim and Objectives of Karate:

  1. To continue our success and become the best martial arts club at Coventry University for the wellbeing of our members and at competition level
  2. Perform well in BUCS and mixed league
  3. Break world record attempt for the longest mixed game
  4. Win a Varsity game
  5. Increase membership to 50 people
  6. Promote health, wellbeing, teamwork and sportsmanship

 

Anyone can join to be a part of karate whether you have done it before or not – open to everyone!
