Learning and development

Coventry University runs a packed learning and development programme each year, designed specifically to help you to achieve your personal aspirations. The following is a selection of the type of courses available to staff:

  • Teaching and Learning;
  • Research;
  • Internationalisation;
  • Leadership, Management and Personal Skills.

Development and Performance Review (DPR)

To make sure that you’re recognised fairly for your hard work each year, we’ve put in place a review and appraisal system that provides financial reward based on your contribution to the University.

All staff have meetings with their manager at least once a year to review past performance and set out future plans. The DPR is built upon personal objectives and performance plans (what you do) and capability (how you do it).

The DPR process provides you with the opportunity to look back over the previous year, agree objectives for the next 12 months and outline any development needs you may have relating to these objectives and capabilities.
