AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting

OVERVIEW

At the intermediate level, you’ll master more complex financial processes, including final accounts for sole traders and partnerships, reports and returns and professional ethics.

Once you’ve completed the intermediate level, you’ll be awarded the AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting.

WHY CHOOSE THIS COURSE?

The AAT Accounting Qualification will start you on the path to a successful accounting and finance career. Our training will give you the practical skills and financial expertise to follow a rewarding career in professional accountancy.

After completing AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting (Level 6 in Scotland), your typical salary range will be between £11,000 to £24,000.

This salary range is taken from AAT’s 2013 Salary Survey for people working full-time. The range represents the middle 75% at this level of the qualification.

There are six mandatory units at the intermediate level.

  • Advanced Book-Keeping
  • Final Accounts Preparation
  • Management Accounting: Costing
  • Indirect Tax
  • Spreadsheet for Accounting (Synoptic)
  • Ethics for Accountants (Synoptic)

HOW WILL THIS COURSE BE TAUGHT?

This course can be taught as a roll on/roll off programme. So you can sign up for the full AAT level 3 programme or simply apply for the individual units detailed above.

HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?

Exam and project based assessment.

TEACHING CONTACT HOURS

This course will be delivered on:

Saturdays | 09.00 – 18.00

You should spend three hours a week studying outside of class, for each learning and assessment area. Your study time will need to increase before assessments when you’re revising. Don’t forget to use all the study and membership support we offer.

Entry Requirements

Entry to this course will be granted if you’ve completed a Level 2 AAT course or after completing a successful phone interview with the course tutor.

FEES AND FUNDING

£1,750

AAT membership and exam fees are in addition to this. More information on the AAT website.

Funding is available through the Advanced Learners Loan.
