ituated right at the heart of one of the world’s greatest financial and political centres, the Department of International Politics combines world-leading research with exceptional education in international relations and international political economy.
The department has developed focused research programmes, with an emphasis on international relations, foreign policy and diplomacy, international political justice, and international political economy. It hosts two thriving think tanks, the City Political Economy Research Centre (CITYPERC) and the Centre for International Policy Studies (CIPS)

In 2014 the department launched BSc (Hons) International Political Economy, which is the first of its kind in the UK. City, University of London is ranked 4th in London and 22nd for international politics in the UK (Guardian University Rankings 2015).
