MBA Advanced Entry Programme (MBA Top Up)

Course Overview

The MBA Advanced Entry Programme is currently offered as a Distance Learning Course to graduates from approved institutions. The following institutions are eligible:

The MBA Advanced Entry Programme (MBA Top Up) is specially designed for students that hold an approved Level 7 Post Graduate Diploma in a Management subject. Students with this qualification have the opportunity to apply directly for the Dissertation Phase of the MBA, ‘topping-up’ their Post Graduate Diploma into a Cardiff Metropolitan MBA.

The course consists of the Research Methods Module and the Dissertation Phase of the MBA, making it a popular choice with individuals committed to developing their careers in senior management and who therefore need an understanding of all the major functions of business and management, to complement their existing knowledge. ​Intakes and Fees

The MBA Advanced Entry takes approximately 7 months to complete. For the first two months of the course, students will have a weekly contact session for the Research Methods module, followed by a 5 month period for their Dissertation.

Next Intake Start Date: The intake dates are agreed with the partner institute.

Entry Requirement and Procedure

Students wishing to join the course must meet the following entry requirements:

  • A level 7 Post Graduate Diploma awarded by Edexcel, Athe or ABE
  • An Undergraduate Qualification Equivalent to UK Bachelors 2:2 or higher – work experience may be considered for candidates not meeting this requirement
  • High School Certificate
  • A Statement of Purpose
  • Two letters of Reference/Recommendation

International Applicants

  • A Secure English Language Test: IELTS 6.0 (with 5.5 in all modules) or equivalent. Students already in the UK that do not meet this requirement are able to take the University’s Password Test.
  • A copy of your passport (and all UK visas where applicable)

In addition to the above requirements all candidates will be required to take a Skype Interview with the Programme Director. Details of these arrangements will be sent subject to your successful application.
