English Requirements

Undergraduate

Standard undergraduate programmes require a minimum English level of IELTS 6.0, with no less than 5.5 in each section. Some non-standard programmes require IELTS 6.5 overall.

Postgraduate

For postgraduate entry, you’ll need a minimum of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent, and International Foundation students will need a minimum of IELTS 5.0 or equivalent. If you’ve taken an IGCSE exam in English and have a Grade C or above, this will usually be acceptable depending on the grades achieved on each section of the exam.
