Our network of campuses and centres stretches across Kent and Medway, and are easy to get to by train, bus and car. Our main campus is situated in Canterbury, which is less than an hour’s train journey from London. Find out how to travel to any of our campuses or centres.

BIKE/FOOT

Getting to the Canterbury Campus

Cycling

There are secure, free of charge bike racks available on campus.

Walking

North Holmes Campus is a 10 minute walk from Canterbury East train station.

Getting to Augustine House

Cycling

Secure, free of charge bike racks available, as well as shower facilities in Augustine House.

Walking

Augustine House is a 5 minute walk from Canterbury East Station and next to Canterbury High Street.

Getting to Hall Place

Cycling

There are secure, free of charge bike racks available on campus.

Walking

Hall Place is easy to reach by car or bus and is approximately 45 minutes walk from the train stations. However it is advisable to use public transport as Hall Place is on a major road and is difficult to access by foot.

BY CAR

Getting to the Canterbury Campus

From London (M2/A2):

  1. Leave the A2 at the first Canterbury exit
  2. Go straight ahead at the roundabout along the dual carriageway
  3. At the next roundabout follow the ring-road around to the right
  4. Go straight on to the ring-road anti-clockwise, keeping to the outside lane; prepare to turn right at the third roundabout into New Dover Road
  5. At the traffic lights take the left filter into Lower Chantry Lane taking the second exit at the next roundabout into Longport.
  6. The University visitors’ entrance is situated on the left in the Old Sessions House, postcode CT1 1PL.

 

There is no parking available on site:  We encourage visitors to use  Canterbury’s City Car Parks  or the  Canterbury Park and Ride service.

Getting to Augustine House

From London:

  1. Take the M2 coast bound
  2. At junction seven take the A2 following signs for Canterbury and Dover
  3. At the roundabout, take the fourth exit onto the A2 (signposted for Canterbury)
  4. Leave the A2 at the first exit signposted Canterbury
  5. At London Road roundabout take the second exit onto the A2050 signposted Margate, Ashford
  6. At St Peters roundabout take the third exit onto the A290
  7. At Wincheap Roundabout take the second exit onto the A28
  8. At Riding Gate Roundabout take the fourth exit (this will take you back on yourself) and Augustine House (CT1 2YA)  is on your left.

Getting to Hall Place

From Canterbury:

Hall Place, postcode CT2 9AG, is situated on the A2050, the main road out of Canterbury towards the A2 London bound.

From London:

  1. Take the M2 coast bound
  2. At junction seven take the A2 following signs for Canterbury and Dover
  3. Take the fourth exit off the A2 (signposted for Canterbury). Hall Place is approximately one mile on the left.

Parking: Visitors must display a permit – this can be arranged in advance by the department receiving you. Staff and students must display a valid permit to park at Hall Place.
