Modules

Accounting Year 1: Combined honours core People management in the twenty-first century; contemporary business issues; financial accounting for professionals; marketing principles and practice economics; applied statistics for business and management; economics.

Year 2: Combined honours core modules: Management accounting; international financial reporting. Optional modules choose two from: Human resource management; E business; project management; developing sustainable enterprise; research methods; financial services; work based learning.

Year 3: Combined honours core modules: Contemporary accounting issues; financial management. Optional modules choose two from: Strategic management; business ethics; individual study; service management; knowledge management; introduction to securities; marketing: culture and communications; dissertation; public relations. Finance Year 1: Combined honours core modules: People management in the twenty-first century; contemporary business issues; financial accounting for professionals; marketing principles and practice economics; applied statistics for business and management; economics.

Year 2: Combined honours core modules: International financial reporting; research methods; econometrics; foundations of finance; financial services. Optional modules choose one from: Management accounting; corporate and business law; E-business; project management; developing sustainable enterprise; work based learning; human resource management.

Year 3: Combined honours core modules: Strategic management; corporate finance; security investment analysis; international and multinational finance. Optional modules choose two from: Introduction to securities; audit and assurance; contemporary accounting issues; individual study; business ethics; knowledge management; service management; marketing: culture and communication.

Assessment Methods

Students are assessed using a variety of assessment techniques including reports, essays, group work, presentations, exams, case study analysis, computer based assessment and practical projects or exercises.
