Buckinghamshire New University Entry Requirements

Undergraduate entry requirements
As a guide the academic entry requirement for undergraduate courses includes the achievement of the equivalent of a minimum of 2 UK A-level qualifications as confirmed with comparison information on UK NARIC. Some courses will require additional criteria including interviews, portfolios, Criminal Record Bureau checks etc – you will be able to find this information on our course information online. Please see our guide to specific country entry criteria. Previous study of mathematics may be required for some courses. If your country is not listed please contact us or your agent for further details.
Postgraduate entry requirements
As a guide the academic entry requirement for postgraduate courses will normally include a good honours degree and it is usually necessary to have had some relevant work experience. Some courses will require additional criteria including interviews, portfolios, Criminal Record Bureau checks etc – you will be able to find this information on our course information online.
English language requirements for most undergraduate and postgraduate courses

Other approved English Language tests as listed on the UKVI website may be considered but please contact us first as certain limitations apply.Some courses require higher than normal English, including:
- BSc (Hons) Social work requires IELTS 7.0,
- LLM 6.5 overall with no element lower than 6.0, you must have a 6.5 in writing
- MSc Social work requires IELTS 7.0,
- BSc (Hons) Professional Practice (International) requires an IELTS of 6.5 overall,
- courses including pilot training require at least an IELTS 6 in the spoken element
