The Course

Summary

You will benefit from an excellent standard of teaching provided by staff from the University and practice, in partnership with our NHS Trust partners. Our lecturers maintain close links with practice, ensuring that the programme is up-to-date with modern practice. We have simulation facilities to enable you to practise your skills in a realistic and safe environment and offer continuous support throughout the programme, both in the University and in practice.

Modules

Year 1: Health and illness across the lifespan; foundation skills for children’s nursing; independent learning for nursing; foundations of children’s nursing practice.

Year 2: Evidence-based nursing for the community; intermediate skills for children’s nursing; intermediate children’s nursing practice; broadening perspectives on practice.

Year 3: Nursing and collaborative working; children’s nursing skills underpinning complex care; personal development for leadership and management; towards autonomy in children’s nursing practice; research for nursing.

Assessment Methods

These include essays, portfolios, presentations, examinations and an extended project.

How much does it cost?

Fees for September 2017 to August 2018 entry
Full-time Home and EU: £9,250 per year
Full-time International: £10,500 per year
