The BSO sites are situated near the South Bank, a ten minute walk from London Bridge station and a fifteen minute walk from Waterloo station. The nearest underground station (Borough) is just across the road from the teaching centre, and connects to the underground network via the Northern line (City branch). Southwark tube station (Jubilee line) and Elephant and Castle tube station (Bakerloo line) are within easy walking distance of the teaching centre and the clinical centre.
Finding the BSO Clinical Centre
The clinical centre is marked on the left hand side of the map above, on Southwark Bridge Road. The TFL journey planner ‘widget’ below can help you plan your journey to our clinic from wherever you are based.
Cycling – The clinic is on the CS7 Cycle Superhighway. There are several bike racks close by including a couple directly outside the front doors and several on Great Suffolk Street between the two sites. There are also docking stations for the Transport for London Barclays Cycle hire bikes nearby on Webber Street and Great Suffolk Street.
Buses – the 344 bus runs along Southwark Bridge Road. Alight near Southwark Fire Station. The 35, 40, 343, 133 and C10 run along Borough High Street. Alight at Borough tube station and it is about a five minute walk to the clinical centre.
Tube – the nearest tube station is Borough, on the Northern line (City branch). We are also five minutes’ walk from Elephant & Castle tube and rail station. Walk to Newington Causeway and take the first left onto Southwark Bridge Road.
Walking from Borough High Street – if you are coming from our teaching centre or from Borough tube station, we recommend using Marshalsea Road (the left turn from Borough High Street by the tube station). Walk to the junction with Southwark Bridge Road (just after the park) and turn left onto it. Go past the fire station on your right. Pedestrians can also cut through from Marshalsea Road onto Southwark Bridge Road via the Mint Street Park.
Parking – the clinic is inside the congestion charging zone. There is metered parking on Southwark Bridge Road and adjacent streets near our clinic.
