Bournemouth University Library work hard to provide a comprehensive libraries and learning support service to all of our students. As well as our two libraries – The Sir Michael Cobham Library and Bournemouth House Library – we offer a wide range of online resources that you can access off campus, including e-books and e-journals that you can download to your personal devices.In July 2014, Library & Learning Support achieved Matrix accreditation, the external quality standard for information, advice and guidance services. This highlights our on-going commitment to providing service excellence to the University community and continuous quality improvement of our services.

The Sir Michael Cobham Library is situated at the heart of our Talbot Campus and is where you will find our largest collection of printed resources. As well as its extensive reference collections, it is also home to 345 PCs, several bookable study rooms and technobooths, over 1,000 study spaces, a dedicated postgraduate study area, and three silent study floors. You’ll find printers, photocopiers and scanners on every floor, as well as self-service machines where you can loan or return books, pay library fines and carry out a range of other transactions.A number of support services are based within the library building, including:
We have done our best to make this space as accessible and versatile as possible. In addition to our desktop computers, there are numerous powerpoints for laptops, and we have adjustable height desks to ensure wheelchair users are comfortable when working on our computers or at our study spaces.
