Bournemouth University Counselling

If you feel you need help and support beyond that offered by tutors, friends or family, counselling can help. Whether you are experiencing a temporary crisis or longer term issues, talking to a counsellor can help work through your problems and reach a resolution. Counselling is also an excellent tool for your own personal development.

The AUB Counselling Service adheres to the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions. We have a team of professionally qualified male and female counsellors who can offer various levels of support ranging from regular weekly sessions or occasional support to just a ‘one-off’ consultation or support session.

The Counselling Service at the University is confidential and only in very exceptional circumstances will this confidentiality be broken and direct action taken- usually if there is an immediate risk to your own safety or that of others. The full details of confidentiality can be found in the Counselling Service Policy and Confidentiality Statement, which are available on the AUB Viewpoint pages under Student Services / Counselling.

To make an appointment, or to learn more about the service, you can contact us by emailing: counselling@aub.ac.uk, calling +44 1202 363033 or by sending us a TEXT on 07894 396072.
