Accommodation

Finding the right place to live is a very high priority for students when coming to the University. Our Accommodation Team aims to make the transition from home to higher education as easy as possible. Whether you are looking for your first place away from home or a house to rent in your second, third or postgraduate years, you can be confident that the Team will help with any issues throughout the whole of your course.

On Campus

During the summer of 2013, the Halls of Residence underwent a significant capital investment as part of the University’s commitment to enhancing the student experience. The refurbishment included brand new contemporary en-suite cluster flats and modernising the existing Constance Stewart Hall.

Our Halls of Residence are primarily available to students in their first year and disabled students. However, we do reserve a limited number of beds for international students.

This section of the website will take you through the accommodation which will be available to you, how to apply for a room, the fees and most commonly asked questions

Code of Practice for the Management of Student Housing

Bishop Grosseteste University operates its Halls of Residence in compliance with the practices identified in the Code of Practice for the Management of Student Housing. A full version on the code of practice is available on request from the Accommodation Officer or can be downloaded at: www.universitiesuk.ac.uk/acop

Off Campus

Although situated off-campus, Crosstrend House is just a short five minute walk down the road from BGU and is available exclusively to our students offering en-suite rooms with kitchenettes and communal living areas.

If you’d prefer to look for your own accommodation in the private sector, Lincoln has a wide range of good quality student accommodation. The information in these pages will give you an idea of what’s available, how to go about finding somewhere to live, how to enter into a tenancy agreement and things to be aware of whilst your tenancy is in force.
