Bangor University Wardens
Recruitment for 2017-18 is now complete
Senior Wardens are members of University staff who live in or very near the University Halls in University accommodation. They supervise a team of Wardens. When vacancies occur they will be advertised on the University Intranet. All Senior Wardens must be current member of the University staff. Currently students can NOT be Senior Wardens.
In December the University will begin the process of recruiting new Wardens to commence work in the following September.
The Warden Team will hold at least 2 Open Evening sessions where interested students can talk to existing Wardens and Senior Wardens to discover what the job involves. Applications will then be invited from interested students who will be asked to provide a letter of application and a CV. A short list will be compiled and successful candidates invited for interview.
The Open Evenings will be advertised on this page and the jobs will always be advertised on this page and on Jobzone.
All successful Wardens will be subject to a CRB check and be expected to attend a compulsory training week in September. This will take place ten days before Freshers’ weekend.
Currently Wardens are provided with a single study bedroom in a hall of residence free of charge and will be expected to carry out duties (sometimes on a rota basis) as directed by a Senior Warden.
Occasionally a vacancy for a warden occurs during the academic session and will be advertised accordingly.
