Aston University Outreach
The aim of our work is to educate and inspire young people, address and remove the barriers to higher education and widen access to university.
The programmes we run are designed to raise the attainment and aspirations of young people, helping to shape their future options. We deliver a variety of initiatives and due to the nature of our work we primarily engage with targeted local schools.
- Aston Access Scheme for Year 12 students
- Primary Aspiration Days
- Students in Schools Scheme
- Subject specific tutoring
- Aspiration mentoring
- Residential Easter and Summer Schools
Students in Schools
Aston students get to work in local schools to deliver exceptional tutoring and student specific mentoring programmes, providing a great support to pupils and staff during the academic year.
Bring your primary school pupils to Aston to meet students, explore the campus and participate in informative and practical sessions. Alternatively, our students can come to help your pupils at the premise of your school.
Aston Progression Pathways Programme
The Aston Progression Pathways (APP) programme seeks to empower Year 12 students who are considering studying a STEM subject at university to confidently make decisions about their progression to higher education.
Subject-led and interactive residentials hosted by our team each year for your students to experience what university is really like.
