Greendale’s were awarded the extension and alterations to the existing Refectory at the AUB. The construction was of contemporary design. An ‘Exoskeletal’ steel frame with stainless steel feature cross bracing timber glazed and aluminium
cladding details. The roof construction was single ply membrane with ‘Green Roof Living Sedum’ making this eco-friendly and aesthetically pleasing.
Internally low energy lighting was installed, together with laminate flooring and modern furniture giving the area a feeling of light and space. A great place to enjoy your food.

This project created a special challenge as a large number of below ground services had to be diverted as part of an enabling contract prior to the main works being carried out.
