Anglia Ruskin University UCAS

Anglia Ruskin Students’ Union is an independent charity that supports students through university. If you’re studying with Anglia Ruskin in Cambridge, Chelmsford, Peterborough or as a distance learner, you’ll be a member of the Students’ Union. We’re independent from the University and you get to decide how we’re run and what we do. You can vote in our elections, get your voice heard through student councils or take part in campaigns. Our core function is representation, which means we dedicate almost all of our resources to making sure your voice gets heard, and you get the most out of your degree. We also give you lots of opportunities to have fun, make friends and get experience outside of the classroom. You might be interested in volunteering, joining one of our sports clubs or societies, working for us or attending some of our fantastic events – like our summer ball. From day one, we’ll help you work towards your ambitions, so you graduate with the skills and qualities valued the world over. At ARU, you’ll be part of a thriving community of people keen to get on, led by inspiring, award-winning tutors. You’ll also benefit from our strong industry links. Each year, we support some 2,000 businesses, who are always looking for bright, talented people. And if you’ve got a business idea, we’ve got a Start-Up Lab, mentoring programme and other enterprising initiatives to sharpen it. All reasons why we’ve been named the Entrepreneurial University of the Year at the Times Higher Education Awards 2014. As one of the largest universities in the east of England, you can certainly explore your options. We have modern campuses in three vibrant cities, Cambridge, Chelmsford and Peterborough, as well as opportunities to study elsewhere, too. With a proactive Students’ Union, supporting 140 clubs and societies, you’ll feel part of university life as you progress. There are lots of reasons to choose ARU; including the fact that our graduate prospects are amongst the best in the country – with 9 out of 10 starting their careers within the first six months. ARU is an inspiring place to study: our lecturers are rated among the most enthusiastic and interesting in the country, and our courses among the most intellectually stimulating. You can count on outstanding support – we’ll be behind you all the way with a Student Services Team rated the UK’s best (Times HE Awards, 2012). You will learn using multi-million pound facilities, from forensic laboratories to multimedia and recording studios; art galleries to three university libraries open to you 24 hours during term time.
