Anglia Ruskin University Harlow
Welcome to University Centre Harlow
In 2012 we formed partnership with Harlow College to create University Centre Harlow (or UCH), where around 200 students study 12 different degree courses with us.
If you’re interested in subjects such as bioscience, engineering, graphic design, journalism or early years education to name but a few, we have a course here that’s right for you.
You’ll benefit from our top-class journalism centre, 96-seat lecture theatre, video conferencing facilities and a range of computer suites. A team of friendly, qualified, experienced staff are also on hand to help with any queries.
We also have a 116-seat performing arts theatre, Glass Box Theatre, that has regular music gigs, stage plays and dance activities. There are great views from any seat in the house, state-of-the-art lighting and sound, and all the performances are absolutely free.
Meanwhile, if you feel in need of a haircut or just a spot of pampering, head over to The Salon. All treatments are carried out by hairdressing and beauty students from Harlow College, and prices are reasonable.
You can drop by our Students’ Support office any time during the day. It’s even open during holidays, and packed with information in a wide range of formats that should answer your queries. However, our fully trained guidance team is also here to help you. During peak times you might have to wait a short while to see them but if we’re not busy, we’ll see you right away.
On campus during the day, you can grab a quick bite and catch up with friends at:
- Skylight Brasserie, our training restaurant that serves great food prepared by fellow students, at budget prices
- The Food Court, which offers all-day refreshments and is a great place to relax, meet friends or just catch your breath between lectures.
If you’re going to be studying at UCH, you can apply to live in our Student Village in Chelmsford. Find out more about travelling to University Centre Harlow.
Harlow town centre
Harlow town centre and bus station are less than five minutes’ walk from campus. You’ll find plenty of shops to explore and places to eat – and for night owls, lots of bars and nightclubs to investigate.
