Aberystwyth is easily accessible by road. Whichever way you’re approaching from you will experience beautiful scenery.
From the east the A44 climbs through the Cambrian Hills and down to the coast, and from the north or south the A487 offers spectacular views over Cardigan Bay.

When you approach Aberystwyth by road you’ll see signs directing you to Aberystwyth University; these will lead you to Penglais Campus.
Look out for the bright yellow square signs containing a picture of a mortarboard (academic cap).

Visitor Parking
During special events such as Open Days, Visiting Days or Graduation there will be signage and/or university staff directing visitors to car parking spaces.
If you are visiting on other university business please visit the Porter’s Lodge on Penglais Campus to request a visitor’s parking permit.
If you are visiting Penglais Campus to use other facilities, including Aberystwyth Arts Centre, please use the Pay & Display car parks.
