Alloway Halls is reserved for first year students new to the city (typically 16-19 years of age). Situated to the north of
Dundee, the residence enjoys excellent views of the Sidlaw Hills and has easy access to the main travel routes.

There are 144 bed rooms divided into self catering flats of 8. You’ll find a comfortable study bedroom with desk, chair and
wardrobe, and a communal kitchen/living room.Electricity and gas charges are included within the rent. Alloway has a coin
operated laundry, controlled entry system, gas central heating, free car parking, and a payphone in each block. Content
insurance and Portable Appliance Testing are also provided.

You can collect your keys from the Residences Office in the University on either 14th or 15th Sept between 10am-4pm.
If you cannot arrive during these dates/times, please call the Residences Office in advance to make alternative
arrangements. Nil deposit but a prepayment of rent will be required. Details of the amount due will depend on the room
type and can be found on our website www.abertay.ac.uk/studying/accommodation/ Internet access provided free of charge in all bedrooms. All residences are strictly Non-Smoking

Lyon Streetis situated to the north of the city centre within walking distance of the University and close to local amenities.
It is reserved primarily for senior students (20+ years of age) and provides an ideal home for students who wish to integrate
into the local community.

Refurbished for 2010, this residence provides 140 bed-spaces. Lyon Streetoffers a varietyof flat sizes and pricing giving
excellent value for money. You’ll find a comfortable study bedroom with desk, chair and wardrobe and shared kitchen and
shower room. Flat sizes range from 1-3 bedrooms. Portable Appliance Testing and Contents Insurance are provided.

Meadowside

Built in 1996 this residence provides 69 en-suite bedrooms. Situated on the edge of the campus, Meadowside offers a
central location and ready access to shopping, leisure facilities, library etc. The flats are divided into self catering units of 6
to 9 bedrooms. Each flat has a com­munal kitchen / sitting room which is bright and spacious. Three of the bedspaces are barrier free and the Hall has a ramped entrance for wheelchair users.

Meadowside Hall is normally reserved for students 20 years of age or older and is a popular choice for both UK and
International students alike. Meadowside has a Coin operated laundry, payphone, en-suite bedrooms, controlled entry and
CCTV. Although there is no parking on-site, parking permits can be purchased from the local council. This allows parking within

Parker House

Parker House, 15 Parker Street, Dundee (Blocks A-C = DD1 5RZ, Blocks D-F = DD1 5RY)

Brand new in 2010, this purpose built residence is just 5 mins walk from the University. With a variety of flat sizes and
bedroom styles, this residence is a popular option for all students whether first entrants either UK or internationally based.
All rooms are en-suite with shared kitchen, dining and lounge facilities. All communal areas have SKY TV and do not require a TV licence for your room. This residence is privately owned and managed by Prodigy Living. Although applications from new students to the University will be accepted by Abertay through OASIS in the first instance, the application will be passed to Parker House and the legal agreement will be between Parker House and the student.

All Rooms are a good size. Approximate sizes are:

  • Bronze En Suite is 11sqm, and has a single bed
  • Silver En Suite is 13sqm, and comes with a three-quarter bed
  • Studios are available with provate kitchens and living areas and come with a three-quarter bed
  • Kitchen/Dining/Living area us 22sqm

Parker House provide regular social events, has up to 100mb WiFi throughout, and has 24-hour on-site staff presence, secure entry and CCTV. All bills are included in the price: water, gas, electricity, heating, internet and contents insurance.

This city centre residence is a particularly attractive Victorian building which has been thoroughly renovated in association
with the Nine Incorporated Trades of Dundee, one ofDundee’s oldest and most respected organisations. The accommodation is a mix of large spacious rooms and attic rooms with views over the city, with communal kitchen and dining facilities. A number of en-suite rooms and four self-contained flats for 2-4 persons are also available.

You’ll find a comfortable study bedroom with desk, chair and wardrobe, spacious kitchens with additional living
rooms/dining areas. Contents Insurance and Portable Appliance Testing are also provided. Victoria Chambers has a coin operated laundry, electric heating and communal payphone.
